Large randomised prospective trial of 2,323 women who had a previous caesarean section, comparing vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC) versus elective repeat caesarean (ERC).

Parent-to-be petition and postcard campaign

October 2011

Please assist in the NASOG campaign to have the Federal Government restore the Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) for Obstetrics to cover the average out-of-pocket costs for women who opt for a specialist to care for them during their pregnancy and the birth of their baby. You can assist by requesting the support of patients in signing the ''Parents-to-be' petition (instructions are also available), and encouraging them to complete a postcard to the Prime Minister.

 

Members Survey - Midwife Collaboration

Media reports have claimed that obstetricians have refused collaboration with midwives. We want to test this claim with a short survey of NASOG members. Complete Survey

The Medicare Rebate slashes have gone too far and are disadvantaging Australian women. NASOG is lobbying government to address the inequity, and support Australian women’s access to obstetric care. Read more
